When fire swept through Young United Church in 1987, it destroyed the building but not the spirit of the church. It was from that spirit that Crossways in Common was born.

Crossways in Common is a collective whose purpose is to meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the West Broadway Community. Crossways was formed in 1991 (Young United’s 100th anniversary) together with five other community-based organizations. Each partner serves the West Broadway community in their own way while supporting and enhancing one another’s programs.
